I have been writing novels since 2003, which is pretty much when I started reading up on all this stuff and I just never stopped. I signed with a small publisher in 2010, went fully Indie in 2014, but I’ve actually been self-publishing since 2012. I write multiple genres of novels, novellas, and short stories. they are all published in digital and/or print format, and I have recently started experimenting with audio format, as well. Aside from employing an amazing editor to make sure all commas and semicolons are where they need to be, and a skilled narrator to give my characters life and dimension, I pretty much do everything else on my own, so I have lots of technical experience with almost every step of the process.
Everything you find here is something I’ve been through or have already researched on my own. I’ve basically done much of the legwork for you so you can just skip to the useful bits and not waste hours and hours on Google searches. Although I do love Google…
Anyway, I offer my experiences and knowledge with a grain of salt and good intentions for the purpose of helping you out. Not everything will apply to every situation, and you may find there is a simpler or better way to do things. That’s great! If you want to share, feel free to comment on the topic’s page. If not, that’s okay, too. All I ask is that we keep things civil and cooperative.
